The Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished their series against the University of Wisconsin Badgers Saturday with a 2-1 loss. This followed Notre Dame’s 3-2 OT Friday victory against the Badgers in which the Irish kicked off conference play.
First Period
The Badgers went after the Irish net from the puck drop and recorded three shots in the first 30 seconds of the game. Early scoring opportunities soon came for the Irish in the form of shots from in front of the goal from Brennan Ali and Blake Biondi less than two minutes in, but the Badgers responded right away and maintained control on offense.
