Manti Te’o, the former star middle linebacker for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and runner-up for the 2012 Heisman Trophy, will reportedly sign with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday.
Te’o was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers with the 38th pick overall. He spent four seasons with the Chargers, but ruptured his achilles heel in the third game of the 2016 season to end the year. During those four years with San Diego, Te’o has yet to play a full schedule due to injuries.
