Former Notre Dame defensive tackle Sheldon Day has been signed by the Indianapolis Colts. With the signing, the Colts have signed both starting defensive tackles from the San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl team, as they signed DeForest Buckner earlier in the free agency period.
Originally drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Day has been a member of the San Francisco 49ers since signing with the team in 2017 after being waived by the Jaguars.
Last season Day recorded 15 total tackles, with one sack, and one stuff with the 49ers.
