Former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz’s $1.6 million home in Orlando, Fla., sustained major damage as a result of a fire that is believed to have started when lightning struck the house early Sunday morning.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the blaze took more than 60 firefighters and 26 fire vehicles to extinguish.
The fire caused severe damage to Holtz’s 11,000-sqaure-foot home and took over three hours to extinguish, which happened at approximately 6 a.m.
