According to Yahoo Sports Pete Thamel, he has sources that state the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will promote Clark Lea, linebackers coach for the Irish, as the new defensive coordinator.
We just posted that Iowa State's defensive coordinator, Jon Heacock was a candidate only minutes ago.
This changes everything.
Nothing official has yet to be released from Notre Dame, but we will update as needed when information does start to surface.
WHEW!
This would be a major move for Lea, and perhaps, the safest bet for Notre Dame its near future.
