The bad news for Notre Dame as the 2015 NFL Draft opens tonight is that no Irish will likely be selected in the first three rounds during Day One and Day Two of the three-day event.
This is one of the smallest and least impressive Notre Dame draft classes since 2009 when safety David Bruton became the only Irish representative in the entire draft when he went in the fourth round to the Denver Broncos.
The good news is that with 10 starters returning on defense and nine on offense next season for Notre Dame, there weren’t too many draft eligible candidates this year to begin with.
