With 41 more points and another 476 total yards piled up Saturday in a 41-31 win over USC, the Notre Dame offense continued to be nothing short of amazing this season.
Its 38.3 scoring average remains the best mark in the modern era since the program published such records in 1946. The 498.9 yards per game is the third best average in team history during that 70-year time frame. And the 234.6 rushing yards per game rates as the best average since 1996.
But the raw yardage and scoring numbers are not what is most impressive about this offensive unit.
