Mike Brey and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Basketball program got its first commitment for the incoming class of 2017.
DJ Harvey, a four star wing from DeMatha High School in Washington D.C. has verbally committed to Notre Dame for the incoming class of 2017. DeMatha, of course, is the alma mater of Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey.
Harvey was a consensus five star prospect in the spring, but after some summer camps, he was reevaluated as a four star prospect according to the 247 composite rankings.
Harvey is the first commitment for the incoming class of 2017, but there should be 2-3 more scholarships available after this season.
