The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Michigan Wolverines may not be battling it out on the football field anymore, but that doesn't mean the two schools don't hate each other.
After Michigan's longest-tenured recruit in the 2016 class - four-star OT Erik Swenson (Downers Grove, IL) - announced this morning that he was re-opening his recruitment due to "unforeseen circumstances," and after much speculation, Swenson later confirmed that Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh pulled his scholarship and canceled his official visit.
Michael Berstch, the Director of Football Media Relations at the Notre Dame, used this news to take a not-so-subtle jab at Harbaugh and Michigan:
I'm glad the @NDBasilica wasn't able to call me two weeks before our wedding & say, we found another couple we like more for your time slot.

Notre Dame is one of four other schools that have offered scholarships to Swenson, along with Ohio State, Northwestern, and Illinois.
The 6'7", 285-pounder is ranked as the No. 30 offensive tackle and No. 325 overall recruit in the country.
