Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees is day-to-day with the neck injury that forced him out of Saturday's 14-10 win over USC in the third quarter.
The latest news coming out of South Bend indicates that Rees has about a 25% chance of playing on Saturday against Air Force. Rees will need "several days worth of practice reps" to be able to play, according to Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly, and it's unlikely at this point that he'll be able to return in time.
The Irish will most likely turn to Senior QB Andrew Hendrix, who filled in for Rees after he left Saturday's game. Hendrix was 0/4 in limited action, but has played in nine games over three seasons during his Notre Dame career.
