Notre Dame Fighting Irish QB Everett Golson tied an FBS record on Saturday night with 26 straight completions against the Syracuse Orange at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Per Michael Bertsch, director of football media relations for Notre Dame, his touchdown strike to WR Torii Hunter Jr. assured him of a spot in the record books:

Golson, with Notre Dame leading 28-9, would throw an incompletion on a ball intended for receiver Corey Robinson with just six minutes left - keeping him tied with former East Carolina QB Dominique Davis who completed 26 straight against Navy back in 2011.
