The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a chance to curry favor with two in-state playmakers from the Class of 2016 this weekend, with 4-star Ben Davis (Indianapolis) running back Chris Evans and 3-star Brownsburg High running back Toks Akinribade slated to visit South Bend.

Evans was originally scheduled to visit Michigan State, but switched things up in order to visit the home-state Irish. The one caveat about Evans' visit is that, while he's currently ranked as the nation's #3 all-purpose running back by 247Sports, Notre Dame is recruiting him to play cornerback.
Akinribade is currenetly listed as the nation's #46 running back, but he also has the frame and ability to play linebacker at the next level.
Evans and Akinribade are both highly coveted by several Power 5 programs, yet Notre Dame could have the inside track to land one or both of them if they play the in-state proximity card to its full advantage.
