The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a chance to curry major favor this weekend with one of the top tight ends in the Class of 2016, as four-star Exton (Pa.) Downingtown East standout Cary Angeline is slated to visit campus for the team's Spring Game.
As reported by Tom Loy of 247Sports, Angeline "first visited South Bend back on Feb. 13 and added an offer from the Irish at that time. Since then, the 6-7, 230-pounder has picked up offers from Alabama, USC, Auburn, UCLA and many others."
Angeline is currently projected by most recruiting analysts to land with in-state Penn State, but the Notre Dame Fighting Irish could very well use this weekend as a springboard when it comes to securing his pledge.
Ranked as the #144 overall recruit in the nation by 247Sports, Angeline posted a cool 1,051 yards and 10 touchdowns on 67 receptions during his junior prep season.
