The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have improved the outlook for their future running game with a massive commitment on Saturday, picking up a pledge from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy halfback Tony Jones Jr.
Per Tom Loy of 247Sports, "the 6-0, 212-pounder just pledged directly to head coach Brian Kelly."

Ranked as the #12 running back in the country by 247Sports, Jones Jr. picked Notre Dame over 14 other offers, including the likes of the Ole Miss Rebels, South Carolina Gamecocks, Miami Hurricanes, and Cincinnati Bearcats.
This marks a huge get for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. IMG Academy is a factory of sorts for top-tier prep prospects, and anytime the Irish can pick up a commitment at the school it adds some clout to their recruiting efforts in the state of Florida.
