The University of Notre Dame has an athletics program with a rich history. Notre Dame has a habit of creating wonderful players, the great Joe Montana being one of them. To date, Notre Dame has produced the most Heisman trophy winners, including the only offensive lineman to ever win the Heisman trophy. Along with producing the most Heisman trophy winners, 46 players and coaches have been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, the most of any university! Notre Dame also has 11 NCAA championships wins under their belt, second only to Alabama’s 12. With a record of churning out great players of course you can expect a great fan base. Notre Dame’s home game attendance from 1930 until 2007 is 22.8 million, with every home game since 1966 being a sellout with the exception of the 1973 Thanksgiving Day match-up against the Air Force.
