Sam Byram has been ruled out for the rest of the season following the hamstring injury he sustained in last weekend's game against Liverpool.
The full back has had surgery and will be out for around four months.
Christoph Zimmermann is also a major doubt for Sunday's game against Wolverhampton Wanderers due to a hamstring problem he picked up in the Liverpool game.
Onel Hernandez is also unlikely to be involved in the squad, having been involved in a training incident which damaged his knee on Wednesday.
On the plus side, Timm Klose is getting close to returning to first-team training, with Head Coach Daniel Farke confirming that the defender is doing well in his rehab.
