Republic of Ireland are exploring whether Norwich twins Jacob and Josh Murphy are eligible to switch nationalities from England after scouting the brothers' promising start to the season.
The 21-year-old siblings, both wingers, have each won England youth caps at various age levels but are yet to feature for Gareth Southgate's Under-21 side, opening the door for a possible change of allegiance.
Ireland, who often search the British Isles for means of deepening their pool of players, would be keen to poach the pair and are looking into qualification criteria.

Jacob Murphy scored twice against Wigan on Tuesday night to win the game for his side and take his season's tally to four.
