Pitch invaders ask player for selfie during match

Police are investigating a pitch invasion in which two boys appear to run over to a Championship footballer unchallenged and take a selfie.

Norwich City striker Josh Sargent was approached in the second half of their 1-0 win against West Brom at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Sargent assisted the boys off the pitch, who were then apprehended by match stewards on the touchline.

Norwich City Football Club has been approached for comment.

Norfolk Police said "both children" were interviewed by officers and inquiries were ongoing.

In a post-match interview with BBC Radio Norfolk, Sargent said he was unsure whether to pose for a selfie or "push [the boys] off the field".
