Norwich are considering German coach Jens Keller from Bundesliga Second Division club Union Berlin following the success of countryman David Wagner at Huddersfield.
City's sporting director Stuart Webber, who helped appoint Wagner when he was working at Huddersfield, is looking at the German market as he seeks a successor to Alex Neil.
Keller, 46, was previously in charge of Schalke before being sacked to make way for Roberto di Matteo.
Another leading candidate for the Norwich job is Fleetwood's German manager Uwe Rosler.
