Daniel Farke named an unchanged starting eleven from the team which beat Bolton Wanderers at home, with Ben Godfrey keeping his place in the back four after coming in as a late starter for Timm Klose last weekend. The Swiss defender remains out with a leg injury. Meanwhile Moritz Leitner and Grant Hanley both returned to the bench after recovering from their respective injuries.
In the opening minutes Bristol City dominated the ball winning a couple of early corners, but Norwich defended well. The Canaries had their first attempt 10 minutes in, but Alex Tettey’s long-range shot went well wide, causing no problems for Bristol goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa.
