Norwich City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup hopes the appointment of a new first-team coach will help create more "interest" and "excitement" around the club.
Former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshure, currently the Gunners' Under-18 coach, has been strongly tipped to move to Carrow Road.
There has been a vacancy in Thorup's backroom team ever since Narcis Pelach left last month to become Stoke head coach.
Asked about people of Wilshere's calibre being linked, Thorup told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We have to make sure we have people in the building that would be interesting for other clubs.
