A number of Canaries players have tested positive while others have shown symptoms despite testing negative, leaving Smith with a depleted squad for Tuesday’s defeat against Aston Villa.
Norwich’s players had a day off on Wednesday but are due back on Thursday when they will be tested again before training and hope to gain a clearer idea of the scale of their problems and the true condition of those uncertain of their illnesses.
