Mitchell Dijks has decided to stay put at Ajax after turning down a move to Norwich City.
The Canaries were heavily linked with signing the 23-year-old left-back, whose present contract with Ajax runs until 2018.
Norwich are on the hunt for a new full-back after selling Martin Olsson to Swansea for £4million earlier in January.
The East Anglia club were prepared to pay £3.4m plus a percentage of Dijks' future sales to Ajax in order to land the Dutchman.
Dijks was in Norwich on Wednesday for talks, but ultimately decided against joining the Championship side, with his agent confirming the news.
