Rocky Bushiri scored the winning goal in stoppage time for Blackpool in Tuesday’s Leasing.com Trophy game against Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-21s, while five other Norwich City loanees were also in action over the last week.
With the game petering out to a goalless draw, 19-year-old Bushiri smashed a shot into the bottom left corner from close range in the 93rd minute, sending the Seasiders through to the Round of 32 in the competition.
Carlisle United and Morecambe still have to play each other in Northern Group G, but Blackpool will finish in the top two regardless of the outcome in that game.
