Twelve Norwich City players featured for their respective loan clubs across the past week, but none more so than academy forward Isak Thorvaldsson.
Across three matches in Iceland’s Urvalsdeild league, Thorvaldsson played a total of 270 minutes for IA Akranes, who were unbeaten in all of them.
They beat Grotta 3-0 on Monday, Fjolnir 3-1 on Thursday, and drew 2-2 at home to Vikingur Reykjavik on Sunday. Looking like their season is turning a corner, Akranes move up to seventh in the division.
It was also a fruitful week for academy goalkeeper Joe Rose, who played all of Bury Town’s 2-1 FA Cup first qualifying round win at home to Brightlingsea Regent on Tuesday night.
