Leicester City are ready to enter the bidding for Norwich City utility player Robbie Brady.
Crystal Palace have already offered £7million for the Republic of Ireland international but fear Norwich will use competition for him to push the price close to £13m.
Leicester can finance a bid for Brady by selling Jeffrey Schlupp to West Bromwich Albion.
Claudio Ranieri also remains keen to add Sassuolo central defender Francesco Acerbi, while new signing Wilfred Ndidi could make his debut in the FA Cup third round tie at Everton.
