Ipswich Town have drawn first blood in their derby day preparations after their legends defeated Norwich City's on the golf course.
Former players including George Burley, Grant Holt and Kieron Dyer battled it out at Ipswich Golf Club on Thursday.
Their former sides will face each other in the Championship's so-called Old Farm Derby on Saturday.
Ex-Canaries goalkeeper Bryan Gunn joked a "magic pencil" had fixed Ipswich's golfing victory ahead of the big game.
On the football pitch, the table-topping side from Portman Road have been without a win against their rivals since 2009.
