Teemu Pukki played 90 minutes of Finland's 2-0 defeat against Belgium in Euro 2020 on Monday night.
With Denmark beating Russia 4-1, Finland are now third in Group B, level on points with Denmark and Russia but between them on goal difference.
They will wait until the end of the group stages to find out their fate, with the four best third-placed teams advancing to the knockout stages.
Elsewhere, Netherlands beat North Macedonia 3-0 to finish top of Group C with nine points, Tim Krul an unused substitute.
