Przemyslaw Placheta made his major tournament debut on Wednesday night but he couldn't prevent Poland exiting EURO 2020 following a 3-2 defeat to Sweden.
The Poles needed a victory heading into their last Group E match against the Swedes but they fell to defeat in Saint Petersburg, bringing an end to their stay in this year's competition.
After being forced to wait for his opportunity in Poland's opening two matches, Placheta came on with eleven minutes to play and looked sharp as they chased a winner.
Robert Lewandowski's 84th minute equaliser gave Poland hope of completing a turnaround but Viktor Claeson's goal in stoppage time gave Sweden the win and saw Poland exit as a result.
