'He's actually done a test with our doctor which has come back NEGATIVE... which is confusing!' Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber reveals the Canaries player who has tested positive for COVID-19 will now undergo third test and is 'completely fine'

The Norwich player who has tested positive for coronavirus has actually tested negative in an independent test with the club doctor, says sporting director Stuart Webber.

The Canaries confirmed on Saturday night that an unnamed player had tested positive for COVID-19 in the latest round of Premier League testing, and will self-isolate for seven days.

As a result, that player will miss Norwich's first Premier League game back against Southampton on Friday but Webber has now revealed the player will have a third test after a second test with the club came back negative, adding that the player is healthy.
