Newly-promoted Sunderland will host Coventry on the Sunday afternoon while Middlesbrough take on West Bromwich Albion on the Saturday teatime in another televised match.
The winter World Cup will see the Championship begin earlier than usual, with the first fixture on Friday July 29, and the final round of games on May 6.
