Norwich booked their place in round three of the EFL Cup after edging-past Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
Liam Gibbs had already thumped the bar for the visitors when Przemyslaw Pu0142acheta spun in the box and fired into the corner to put the Canaries ahead early in the second half.
The visitors were unable to convert any further chances allowing the Robins to pile on late pressure but the Canaries stood firm to progress.
The third round draw will be made on Wednesday night with ties to take place the week commencing 25 September.
Norwich began the brighter and Adam Idah turned a Placheta cross wide and saw a far-post header superbly tipped over the bar by Max O'Leary, while the Bristol City keeper also stopped a long-range Kellen Fisher drive.
