Norwich City Under-23s took all three points after a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Friday evening.
David Wright's side were joined by first-team players Michael McGovern, Moritz Leitner and Josip Drmic for their first ever academy fixture against the Eagles.
The young Canaries were straight at it from the first whistle, bringing a fast-paced intensity in less than ideal rain and wind conditions. This intensity found them two chances within the first five minutes courtesy of Drmic and Rob Nizet.
Both chances came to nothing, however, when the striker’s shot was blocked before the line and Nizet’s effort barely fired over the bar.
