Burnley hope to finally land Robbie Brady from Norwich City for around £13million after the Championship side agreed to sign Ajax left-back Mitchell Dijks on loan.
Sunderland also made enquiries for Brady but have made a £5million bid for Leonardo Ulloa at Leicester as they look to replace the injured Victor Anichebe.
Brady has been at Norwich since moving from Hull City in 2015.
The Ireland international has 31 appearances for his country, seven goals and seems set to make the jump back up to the Premier League.
