Last year, the story of Purdue University student Tyler Trent captivated the nation. Trent, a Purdue University sophomore and student journalist, was suffering from osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
Throughout his five-year battle with the disease, though, he was unwilling to allow it to change his daily life. He declined the University’s offer of a private dorm room, camped out for football games, and travelled to California to see his beloved Boilermakers play in the 2017 Foster Farms Bowl.
Tyler Trent made it to the Purdue game tonight to root for his beloved Boilermakers as they take on Ohio State!
