In his 53rd and final game as a Wildcat, Clayton Thorson left one last imprint on the Northwestern record books.
With about 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter, Thorson completed a pass to Berkeley Holman for 24 yards to surge past Brett Basanez for the top spot among NU passers in career passing yards. On the next play, he found Kyric McGowan for 33 yards near the goalline.
