EVANSTON, Illinois -- Northwestern basketball player Vic Law had successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, head coach Chris Collins announced.
Law, a sophomore, will miss the season as he recovers from an injury he claims happened sometime during the summer. He had been playing with it throughout the fall, but Law, his family and the program all decided it was in his best interest to sit the season out.
The six-foot-seven wing was a major contributor as a freshman, averaging seven points and just under five rebounds per game.
At practice Tuesday, senior Tre Demps wore Law's No.
