With one game remaining in the regular season for both teams, Northwestern men’s and women’s soccer are at 2-6-1 and 5-5, respectively.
After a 4-0 shutout against Nebraska on March 21, the women’s team split against Michigan State and Ohio State. In East Lansing on Thursday, junior Olivia Stone delivered a golden goal in overtime to hand the ‘Cats a 1-0 victory. Her third goal of the season was assisted by sophomore Aurea Martin.
On Sunday, however, an Ohio State goal in the ninth minute led to a shutout for the ‘Cats, despite Northwestern outshooting the Buckeyes 14-9.
