The Northwestern basketball team followed up on the football team's season-ending 24-14 win over Illinois with a 90-63 win over New Orleans on Saturday night.
The Wildcats were led in scoring by Scottie Lindsey, who set a new career high in points with 26. His previous career high was 12, which he scored against Northern Kentucky and at Nebraska last season. The sophomore wing hit six of seven shots from deep and was joined by guards Tre Demps and Bryant McIntosh, who notched 16 and 13 points, respectively. Demps also had five assists and McIntosh had seven. Forward Gavin Skelly also had a career-high 10 points to go along with eight boards in 18 minutes.
