Northwestern-Rutgers Final Score: Wildcats fall 67-58 to Rutgers

Is this what rock-bottom feels like?

Northwestern (15-12, 6-8 Big Ten) lost to Rutgers (13-15, 3-12).

My goodness. Let’s start that again. Northwestern lost to Rutgers in overtime in shocking and incredibly depressing fashion. Corey Sanders was the hero for Rutgers, hitting a game-tying three with under 10 seconds to play and scoring a game-high 30 points.

Um...yeah. The game was low-scoring and lacked much of a rhythm. Rutgers' second-leading scorer Deshawn Freeman, despite being active, did not play in the game, and Bryant McIntosh injured his arm; he didn't play the final 16:37 of the second half and all of overtime.
