Northwestern releases depth chart for Week 6 vs. Penn State

Just days after leading Northwestern in rushing by gaining 37 yards on seven carries, redshirt freshman running back Jeremy Larkin is listed as the No. 2 running back behind Justin Jackson.

We learned after the Wisconsin game that Jackson did not practice at all last week. As the Big Ten’s leading active rusher continues to recover from a leg injury, Larkin should once again assume a significant role this weekend against Penn State. It’s unclear if Larkin surpassed John Moten IV due to performance or as a result of injury, but Larkin is also listed over Moten IV as the second kick returner along with fellow redshirt freshman Riley Lees.
