Northwestern received 15 votes in the recently-released Week 10 Coaches Poll, the most the Wildcats have received since dropping out of the poll following a 40-10 loss to Iowa.
The 15 votes place Northwestern 31st in the country, directly behind Duke, USC and BYU, and in front of Oregon and Pittsburgh.
Northwestern's Week 10 opponent, Penn State, received eight votes, which placed the Nittany Lions three places behind Northwestern.
The Wildcats are the sixth-highest ranked Big Ten team, behind Ohio State (1), Michigan State (6), Iowa (11), Michigan (17), and Wisconsin (26).
