Coming off a 41-0 win over Eastern Illinois in its second game of the season, Northwestern comes in at No. 23 in the current AP Poll.
The Wildcats garnered enough votes this week to move up from No. 28, where the program sat after the team's season-opening victory over then-No. 21 Stanford.
This is the first time Northwestern has been ranked in the top 25 since October 2013.
The Wildcats are also the third-highest ranked Big Ten team in the poll, behind No. 1 Ohio State and No. 4 Michigan State and just ahead of No.
