CHICAGO- Ever since Chris Collins took over as the head coach of the men’s basketball program at Northwestern University in 2013, college hoops has become more popular on campus than in years past. In two seasons Collins has already racked up 29 wins in Evanston which is more than the two coaches who proceeded him after their first two seasons in Kevin O’Neill (25), and Bill Carmody (27). But there are two milestones which continue to elude the 41-year-old Collins, leading the Wildcats to a postseason tournament (O’Neill and Carmody took NU to a combined five NIT Tournaments), and leading Northwestern to the NCAA Tournament which neither of the 25 coaches in program history have been able to accomplish.
