EVANSTON -- Northwestern center Joey van Zegeren missed Northwestern's 77-35 win over Chicago State on Sunday night with a foot injury. The senior, head coach Chris Collins said, is expected to miss "a couple weeks" with a "stress-related" injury.
While not going into very many specifics, Collins said van Zegeren's foot is not broken. "That's going to be a loss for us," Collins said after the game.
Collins said he is hopeful that van Zegeren will return in time for Big Ten play, which begins on Dec. 30.
