For Chris Collins and Northwestern, the 2018 recruiting class is a huge one. The 2018 class will come to Evanston after Collins’s program-shaping 2014 class — minus Vic Law Jr., who took a medical redshirt in 2015 — is gone.
And, after leading Northwestern to its first NCAA Tournament (yes, that actually happened), Collins finally has some tangible, national success to sell to recruits. He’s still selling a dream, but it’s a new dream — one of deep Tournament runs and the chance to help build a program that consistently lies among the Big Ten’s elite.
