Northwestern Baseball's Joe Schindler suspended indefinitely

Northwestern opening day starter Joe Schindler has been suspended indefinitely by the team for violation of team rules, the program confirmed to InsideNU Sunday. The news was first reported by the Daily Northwestern.

The program's official statement:

Joe Schindler violated team rules and has been suspended indefinitely, due to head coach Spencer Allen’s decision. Coach Allen will be made available to comment further on the situation atTuesday’sweekly media availability.

Schindler had a 3-5 record last season, posting a 6.31 ERA in 55.2 innings pitched, but was coming off of five shutout innings in his first start of the season against Nevada in Northwestern's season opening win.
