Nia Coffey, Northwestern women's basketball's star player, left Thursday night's game against Ohio State with an apparent ankle injury early in the fourth quarter.
Northwestern was on offense when Coffey fell awkwardly after receiving a pass from Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah. Coffey did not get up as Northwestern turned the ball over and play continued. She was immediately substituted from the game and started receiving treatment on her left ankle on the bench.
Coffey has not returned to the game and has received an ice-pack on her left ankle. At the moment she, it does not look like she will be returning to the game.
