Maggie Lyon has been ruled out for Northwestern’s game against today against Minnesota with a lower body injury. Lyon also missed Northwestern’s overtime win against Wisconsin. Head coach Joe McKeown declined to comment on the injury after the win against Wisconsin.
As she did yesterday, Lydia Rohde will start in Lyon’s place. The offense survived without its second-highest scorer and best three-point shooter. Rohde was efficient from the field against Wisconsin, scoring 8 points and hitting two three pointers. Amber Jamison also picked up 6 points. Most of Lyon’s shots were split between Nia Coffey and Christen Inman, who will have to continue bearing a larger share of Northwestern’s offense against Minnesota.
