Northwestern basketball is reeling after two consecutive poor offensive performances in blowout losses. Fortunately, though, the worst team in the conference — 0-10 Penn State — is coming to Welsh-Ryan.

That’s not to say the Nittany Lions are free win — not even close given the way Northwestern has played as of late. Penn State has some talent on its roster, and somehow beat Virginia Tech earlier this season, which increasingly looks like an anomaly.

If Northwestern wants to prevent its season from taking a nosedive, it needs to win this game.
